Snoop Dogg reminded viewers that compassion and encouragement can make all the difference on The Voice. During the Tuesday, Oct. 7 episode, the 53-year-old music icon offered heartfelt words of comfort to contestant Myra Tran after her emotional audition ended without any coaches turning their chairs.

A Dream Moment Turns Emotional

Myra performed a moving rendition of Clean Bandit’s “Symphony,” hoping to earn a spot on one of the coaches’ teams. Despite her powerful effort, none of the four chairs turned — a moment that left her visibly emotional. Snoop, however, was quick to step in with reassurance and kindness.

“Myra, Myra on the wall. Who is the fairest of them all? The song sounded good. It’s just not what I’m looking for,” Snoop said, addressing her gently. “But I think you did a great job performing it and you have the skill set to actually be great.”

Encouragement from the Coaches

The other coaches echoed Snoop’s supportive words. Niall Horan praised Myra’s enthusiasm, saying, “You brought so much energy to the room, and I’m so glad that you came here and experienced this. This is not an easy thing to do.”

Country legend Reba McEntire added a note of hope: “A lot of people have come back after getting no chair turns — and they get four the second time around.”

Meanwhile, Michael Bublé offered constructive feedback, pointing out that the result may have come down to song selection rather than vocal ability. “Sometimes it’s just not your day, and for me this wasn’t about your voice. I think it really was song choice and arrangement,” he said.

A Heartfelt Moment of Support

As tears welled up in Myra’s eyes, Snoop walked over to offer her a tissue and a few powerful words of encouragement. “You did amazing,” he said softly.

Myra, who hails from Vietnam, shared that auditioning for The Voice had been a lifelong dream. “The Voice was my dream when I was just a little child, and I want to make my family and my country proud of me,” she said.

Snoop responded with warmth and empathy: “You made them all proud today. It takes a lot to come up here as a performer. So you made your family proud. You made your country proud. Sometimes it’s not always about winning. Sometimes that L is a lesson. It’s not a loss. It’s a lesson.”

Praise for Snoop’s Kindness

The heartfelt exchange resonated with both the audience and Snoop’s fellow coaches. Niall Horan later commended him for his compassion, saying, “Snoop Dogg, he’s a man with a huge heart. The way he dealt with the scenario with Myra — it’s incredible to see.”

Through his words and actions, Snoop reminded everyone that growth often comes from setbacks, and that kindness can be as powerful as any performance.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, with episodes available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
