In a deeply personal and haunting moment, Lisa Marie Presley’s last call to her father, Elvis Presley, was captured on audio by her daughter Riley Keough — revealing 11 chilling words that have left fans around the world emotional: “Daddy, I hope you’re singing up there.”

This rare recording, shared by insiders close to the Presley family, captures the profound sorrow and connection Lisa Marie felt in her final days. It’s a glimpse into a private moment that those closest to the family had hoped would remain buried, yet now stands as a testament to love, loss, and the enduring bond between father and daughter.

Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie’s mother and Elvis’s former wife, opens up about the heartbreaking journey following Lisa Marie’s passing in her new memoir, Softly, as I Leave You: Life After Elvis, released on September 23. Now 80, Priscilla recounts one of the most devastating days of her life — losing her daughter, a grief second only to losing Elvis himself.

Lisa Marie Presley passed away on January 12, 2023, at the age of 54 due to complications from a small bowel obstruction linked to previous bariatric surgery. Her ex-husband Danny Keough found her unresponsive and immediately contacted Priscilla, who rushed to the hospital.

“We were there all day long,” Priscilla recalls. “Lisa really wasn’t breathing, so she was on the ventilator. For hours we were there waiting, hoping and praying until the doctor came in and said, ‘Priscilla, I’m so sorry, she’s gone.’ We just couldn’t believe it — didn’t want to believe it. It was hard on all of us, it still is.”

The memoir also reveals Priscilla’s pain over the loss of her grandson, Benjamin Keough, Lisa Marie and Danny’s son, who died by suicide at 27 in 2020. She candidly discusses the family’s ongoing struggles and the strength required to support her son Navarone, who has been battling addiction.

“It hasn’t been easy at all,” Priscilla admits. “But you have to find strength.”

Despite the tragedy, Priscilla finds solace in her family’s resilience. She praises Navarone’s progress in sobriety and celebrates the joy of her granddaughter Riley Keough, who has grown into a successful actress and mother herself. Priscilla takes pride in her role as a great-grandmother to Riley’s children, Tupelo, age 3, and a younger sibling born earlier this year.

“That’s what makes me happy: knowing everyone is doing well,” she shares, a light amid years of hardship.

The intimate revelation of Lisa Marie’s final words and Priscilla’s heartfelt reflections offer fans a poignant look into a family shaped by fame, tragedy, and an unbreakable bond. Through their shared grief, the Presleys continue to honor the legacy of Elvis — a legacy now carried forward by generations who hold tightly to love, memory, and hope.
