Tom Hardy is set to star in MobLand, an upcoming high-octane crime drama created by Guy Ritchie for Paramount+. The series, which is set to premiere on March 30, brings together a star-studded cast in a gritty tale of power struggles and crime in London.

The plot of MobLand centers around the formidable crime bosses Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, played by Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, respectively. As the Harrigans work to protect their criminal empire from a ruthless rival syndicate, the stakes are high, and the tension is palpable. Hardy steps into the role of Harry Da Souza, the Harrigans’ brutal fixer, tasked with eliminating threats and handling enemies with swift precision.

The ensemble cast also includes Joanne Froggatt, best known for Downton Abbey, who plays Harry’s wife, Jan. Peaky Blinders star Paddy Considine joins the team as Kevin, the Harrigans’ son, and other notable actors such as Jasmine Jobson, Anson Boon, and Mandeep Dhillon round out the cast.

Originally titled The Associate and Fixer, MobLand has faced its fair share of challenges during production, including a theft of expensive camera equipment. Reports also indicate that Hardy took a hands-on approach behind the scenes, stepping in to support crew members after financial setbacks caused issues for the production.

With Guy Ritchie at the helm, known for his signature fast-paced storytelling and sharp dialogue, MobLand promises to be a thrilling ride. Expect intense action, gripping power struggles, and high-stakes crime as the series delves into the darker side of London’s criminal underworld.

As anticipation builds for its premiere, MobLand is shaping up to be a must-watch for fans of crime dramas, with its powerhouse cast and promise of compelling storytelling.
