James Corden has officially settled back in the UK, and it seems the former Late Late Show host is living in the lap of luxury. The 46-year-old star and his family have recently moved into an £11.5 million mansion in North West London, a property that’s also home to fellow actors Tom Hiddleston and Helena Bonham Carter.
Corden quietly purchased the lavish home last year, and after a few months of renovations, including adding an interior balcony, a spiral staircase, and timber privacy screens, the family moved in just in time for Christmas 2023. Neighbors have confirmed that the move-in took place during the holiday season, marking the start of a new chapter for Corden and his wife, Julia Carey, 48, as they transition from their life in Los Angeles to their UK roots.

The sprawling mansion, nestled on a leafy street, offers the ideal setting for the Corden family to settle down. Pictures obtained exclusively by The Daily Mail give a glimpse of the picturesque surroundings, which include a quiet, residential neighborhood that’s home to several celebrities, including Corden’s new neighbor, Tom Hiddleston. The area is known for being a prime location for A-listers looking for privacy and luxury.
Before making the move, Corden and Carey were spotted house-hunting in Hampstead, North London, in July 2023. Their decision to return to the UK was likely influenced by the couple’s growing desire for a more stable base after years spent in LA. Corden’s previous home in Los Angeles, which he sold for $17.1 million in July 2023, was purchased by the daughter of a Hong Kong private equity billionaire. The sale price was notably lower than the $22.1 million Corden had initially hoped for.
Before their recent move, the Cordens owned a £6 million mansion in Belsize Park, also in North London, where they were neighbors with Coldplay’s Chris Martin. The two stars famously clashed over a planning application for a large “iceberg basement” extension next door, though Martin did not formally object to the plans. Despite Corden’s objections, the extension was approved, and the family eventually sold the property in April 2021.
However, the Cordens’ taste for renovation doesn’t stop with their London mansion. They are also in the middle of a massive renovation project in Oxfordshire, where they are building a luxurious £8 million country home. After a lengthy approval process that included objections from the local council and English Heritage, they received the green light to demolish a 1960s property they had purchased. The renovation project includes the excavation of nearly 5,000 cubic meters of soil and plans for a sauna, steam room, and a swimming pool, ensuring that this new home will be as lavish as it is spacious.
Corden and Carey, who have been married since 2012 and share three children, seem to have found the perfect spot to raise their family while enjoying the peace and privacy offered by their new surroundings. With Tom Hiddleston just down the street, it looks like Corden’s life in London is going to be full of celebrity neighbors—and perhaps a few friendly chats over the fence.
