He Doesn’t Say a Word — He Just Stops Anything Coming for the Quarterback

Anthony Belton isn’t loud. He doesn’t make headlines with bold predictions or viral social media clips. But when he lines up on the offensive line, something shifts — and defensive ends quickly learn there’s no way through.
The Green Bay Packers made a bold move by drafting Belton in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. At nearly 6’6″ and 330 pounds, with long arms and brute strength, he looks like a machine built for trench warfare. Though still raw in technique, what he lacks in polish, he makes up for in intensity and toughness.
Belton doesn’t talk much — and he doesn’t need to. Coaches have already praised his work ethic, humility, and relentless drive. Offensive line coach Luke Butkus called him “a mountain with a purpose.”
The Packers are betting that Belton can grow into their long-term solution at left tackle. He may not start immediately, but he’ll push veterans and could earn that spot before the season ends. More importantly, he’s here to protect Jordan Love — and that mission is personal.
In a stadium where linemen like David Bakhtiari once ruled, Belton could be next in line — the silent giant who speaks only through pancakes, pocket protection, and pain delivered to blitzing defenders.
Sometimes the loudest players aren’t the most dangerous.
Sometimes the ones you never hear are the ones you’ll never get past.
Anthony Belton is that kind of problem — and for the Packers, that’s a very good thing.
