Undrafted But Not Unnoticed: Patrick Mahomes’ Brother Stuns at Chiefs Camp!

In the shadows of NFL royalty, Graham Walker is writing a story of his own. The 21-year-old wide receiver—best known until now as the half-brother of Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes—is turning heads at the team’s rookie minicamp. Though he entered without a draft pick or major media attention, Walker is quickly proving he belongs on football’s biggest stage.
From May 3 to May 5, 2025, Walker joined other undrafted prospects and invited rookies at the Chiefs’ training facility in Kansas City for a shot at securing a roster spot. What makes his story all the more compelling is the family connection—Walker and Mahomes share the same father, former MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes Sr., but have different mothers. While Mahomes has cemented himself as a three-time Super Bowl champion and face of the NFL, Walker is grinding to earn his very first NFL contract.
Standing at 6 feet and weighing 190 pounds, Walker played his final collegiate season at Brown University, where he tallied 54 receptions for 716 yards and six touchdowns in 2023. Before that, he spent two seasons at Rice University, collecting 23 catches for 233 yards. Though he wasn’t selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Chiefs saw something in Walker’s tape—his crisp route running, solid hands, and football IQ.
“I’m just thankful for the opportunity,” Walker said during media availability. “It’s an honor to wear the same jersey as my brother, but I’m here to earn my place, not ride anyone’s coattails.”
Sources close to the team say Walker stood out in the early sessions of minicamp, particularly in red zone drills, where he caught two touchdowns on contested catches. His polished routes and mental sharpness have impressed coaches, including head coach Andy Reid, who praised Walker’s poise and work ethic.
“He came in ready to work,” Reid noted. “You can tell he’s been around the game. He doesn’t look out of place.”
The Mahomes name brings attention, but Walker’s performance is bringing respect. If he continues this upward trajectory, he could land a spot on the practice squad or even challenge for a place on the active roster. And just maybe, fans will get to witness something special—a Mahomes-to-Walker touchdown connection.
