For years, they carried the weight in silence—fighting for diagnoses, battling school systems, navigating doctor appointments, and managing the daily chaos of raising children with special needs. They were warriors, but they were also isolated, exhausted, and often invisible. Until now.
Thanks to an upcoming segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show airing May 13, 2025, the rest of the world is about to meet the women behind Labeled & Loved, a nonprofit that has quietly become a lifeline for mothers of special needs children across America.
Co-founders Julie Hornok and Dr. Regina Crone didn’t set out to create a national movement. They started small—hosting casual “moms mingles” in North Texas to bring together mothers who understood the mental, emotional, and physical toll of caregiving. What they quickly discovered was that the need for connection and support stretched far beyond their community.
“You’re always fighting for everything for your child,” Hornok explained. “You’re fighting for education, for a diagnosis, for appointments. It wears on your whole family.”
That shared struggle was the foundation for what became Labeled & Loved. Today, the organization supports moms representing more than 144 different diagnoses, offering local events, national retreats, and a safe space where no one has to explain themselves.
“It’s just healthier to be in a community that gets it,” said Dr. Crone. “To be in a room full of people who understand your life without judgment—that’s powerful.”
Now, their message is going national. After learning about their mission, producers from The Kelly Clarkson Show invited Hornok and a client from the organization to New York for a taping. It was their chance to share their story—and their community—with millions of viewers.
“Kelly was warm, real, and truly curious,” Hornok said of the experience. “She made us feel seen, like our work and our stories mattered.”
The appearance is more than just a media moment—it’s a breakthrough. By bringing attention to these mothers and their battles, Clarkson is helping dismantle the silence around caretaker burnout and emotional isolation. Her platform offers something invaluable: visibility, validation, and a sense of hope.
Beyond the TV spotlight, Labeled & Loved is planning its next big event—their annual moms retreat at The Star in Frisco, scheduled for October 2025. Registration is already open, and interest is higher than ever.
For the countless mothers who’ve fought alone for years, the message is finally clear: you’re not alone anymore. The world is listening—and it’s about time.
